Eco-responsible commitments

Our CSR commitments: raw sound, lasting impact

At ProOrca, for 40 years we have combined a passion for music and artisanal excellence Made in France .

Our commitment? To become regenerative!

Riff after riff, we play to the rhythm of a more sustainable planet while remaining true to the rebellious spirit of the music.

1. Impact on sound, not on the environment

  • Eco-designed manufacturing : ProOrca chopsticks are varnish-free. They are dry-sanded in specially designed barrels to enhance their beauty for 72 hours. The result? A raw, natural, and authentic finish, free from chemicals, and therefore more environmentally friendly.

  • Proven durability : Our sticks have a long lifespan, as our loyal customers have proven over decades. Hickory provides high strength, even for the most powerful playing, a durable alternative to beech or maple models, which are often more fragile.

  • Solar energy : our workshops run entirely on solar energy, thus decarbonizing their production.

  • Circular economy : At ProOrca, even waste deserves a second life. Our wood scraps, for example, are reused for heating.

And that's just the beginning:

  • Locally sourced wood : Currently, our drumsticks are made from hickory from the United States. We're working to incorporate French wood species. Fewer miles traveled, more local connection.

2. Social and societal: drummers, above all a community

  • Hiring young artisans : each stick is hand-turned and matched "by ear." This artisanal skill, designed for artists, is passed on to the next generation.

  • Made in France, proud and committed : being among the only French manufacturers of drumsticks means promoting French know-how, creating local jobs and showing that music can be an economic force.

  • Parity and human values : at ProOrca, our employees are at the heart of the project.

And that's just the beginning:

  • Inclusivity : we are exploring partnerships with ESATs to offer opportunities to people with disabilities, in line with our human values.
